Adam Reich is a producer, musician, mixer, FOH engineer and studio owner based in Sunset Park.

Born and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, Adam is the founder of the storied DIY-venue Shea Stadium. There, he honed his skills from the sound booth, mixing hundreds of live sets for a diverse list of performers, while developing a unique understanding of the importance of creating a comfortable environment for artists. Adam has mixed and mastered all of the performances in Shea’s massive library of recorded live shows since 2009, and in addition to running both the venue and its online archives, has freelanced as a producer, composer, and session musician in studios across NYC and beyond. Reich has also recorded, performed, and toured as a guitarist and keyboardist in The So So Glos and Titus Andronicus.

secondBase was founded in 2016 as a singular workspace to record, create, and listen to music. Since then, the studio has been an HQ for all of Adam’s productions, where he currently spends his time bringing artists’ visions to life - from the demo to the finish line. The studio is also open to other producers and engineers to explore the space and its energy, with hopes of fostering a new collective of recordists that are equal parts skill and chill.

Known for his careful but casual creative approach, Adam brings a relaxed passion and intensity to his projects, and is comfortable playing whatever role is needed for his collaborators.

In recent years he has composed and arranged for film, video games, television, theater, and has been contracted to score projects for Netflix and Google; but since his first recordings on a karaoke machine in the early 90s, Adam remains fully invested in the growth of self-made, empowered independent artists. secondBase is the latest iteration in this life-long project of helping them communicate their ideas.
